Gian Luigi Gragnani received the Laurea degree in electronic engineering from the University of Genoa, Genoa, Italy, in 1985. In 1985, he joined the Applied Electromagnetics Group with the Department of Biophysical and Electronic Engineering (DIBE), University of Genoa. Subsequently, he has cooperated with the Inter-University Research Center for Interactions Between Electromagnetic Fields and Biological Systems. Since 1989, he has been responsible for the Applied Electromagnetics Laboratory, DIBE. He is currently a Professor of electromagnetic fields as well as of courses on antennas and electromagnetic compatibility. His current research interests are in the field of electromagnetic scattering (both direct and inverse), microwave imaging, wideband antennas, and electromagnetic compatibility.
