Biography

Alessandro Fedeli (IEEE Member) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electronic engineering from the University of Genoa, Genoa, Italy, in 2011 and 2013, respectively, where he received the Ph.D. degree in Science and Technology for Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering in 2017. He is currently an assistant professor with the Department of Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications Engineering, and Naval Architecture, University of Genoa. His main research interests include computational methods for the solution of forward and inverse electromagnetic scattering problems, and microwave imaging. Furthermore, he is interested in biomedical applications as well as processing techniques applied to Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) systems. Dr. Fedeli is Associate Editor of Geoscientific Instrumentation, Methods and Data Systems (ISSN 2193-0856), and he is in the Topical Advisory Panel of Electronics (ISSN 2079-9292). He has been Guest Editor of three Special Issues on international journals. He coauthored more than 150 scientific publications. Moreover, he is reviewer for more than 30 international journals (14 of them published by IEEE) and participates in the TPC of several conferences. He has been Finance Chair and Special Session Chair of the 2023 IEEE Conference on Antenna Measurements and Applications (IEEE CAMA, Genoa, Italy, November 15-17, 2023). He has been WG Member of the COST Action TU1208 "Civil engineering applications of Ground Penetrating Radar" (2015 - 2017), and of the COST Action CA17115 "European network for advancing electromagnetic hyperthermic medical technologies (MyWAVE)" (2018 - 2023). He is Member of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society, the Italian Society of Electromagnetism, the Interuniversity Center on the Interactions between Electromagnetic Fields and Biosystems, the National Inter-University Consortium for Telecommunications, the European Geosciences Union, the TU1208 GPR Association. Since 2023, he is Vice President of the Italian Georadar Association.
