Matteo Pastorino (IEEE Fellow) is a Full Professor of electromagnetic fields at the University of Genoa, where has been the past Director of the Department of Biophysical and Electronic Engineering (DIBE, 2008–2011), the past Director of the Department of Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications Engineering and Naval Architecture (DITEN, 2011–2013, 2018-2021), and the past Vice Rector for Technology Transfer (2021-2022). At present, he is a Fellow of the IEEE, the Chair of the National URSI Commission B (Fields and Waves), the responsible for the local section of the National Society of Electromagnetics (SIEM), and the Vice Director of the Interuniversity Center for the Interaction between Electromagnetic Fields and Biosystems (ICEmB). He is the author of the book Microwave Imaging (Wiley, 2010), the co-author of the book Micorwave Imaging. Methods and Applications (Artech House, 2019) and has coauthored about 600 papers in international journals and conference proceedings. His research interests include microwave and millimeter wave imaging, direct and inverse scattering problems, industrial and medical applications, smart antennas, and analytical and numerical methods in electromagnetism. Prof. Pastorino is a member of the editorial boards and technical program committees of several international journals and conferences in the field of microwaves and antennas. He is currently an Associate Editor of the IEEE OPEN JOURNAL ON ANTENNAS AND PROPAGATION and of the IEEE ANTENNAS AND PROPAGATION MAGAZINE.
